Linocuts (short for Linoleum) are a form of relief prints similar to woodblock prints. Oil based Ink is rolled on with a brayer onto the uncarved areas of the linoleum block. Paper is pressed on top with a wooden spoon or a baren, or run through a press. Watercolor washes are applied to the print after the ink is dry.
