Watercolor Journaling - Creative Freedom

August 28 to September 18

4 weeks

Art Journals give us an invitation to develop basic techniques and build skills needed to express our creativity.  Join Instructor Helen Shafer Garcia for this inspiring and fun class as you start with watermedia painting and drawing techniques in watercolor/mixed media journals. As an arts educator, Helen will guide you as you explore markmaking, writing, and painting methods, creating mixed media images to build your confidence and express your thoughts.  This class will focus on drawing and painting basic forms with pencil, pen and ink, paint, collage and colored pencils. Experiment with different techniques including stenciling and collage, to create additional imagery on journal pages.

Please note there is an additional $15 supply fee due at workshop for gesso, Posca markers, open acrylics, water-soluble inks, and special papers.
